A Look Back at 2023

2023 has been a pretty eventful year for growth. The world has opened up and society has gone back to the office (mostly). People on-the-go lost time to play games and stay seated in front of their gaming consoles, but some found alternatives ways of work. There was a content creation boom and saturation, yet here we are still trying to stay relevant.

I am blessed to have time to pursue content creation as a hobby again, and this time, I know better on how to tackle this industry. Sticking to the positives, let's take a look back at how 2023 went for mogi!

The Revival and Renewal of mogi

Like I said, I am not new to the content creation space, but I did experience burn out a few times, thus halted my creative juices. Knowing better know, I took another shot at making content and changed my mindset on the matter. Knowing full well that this is a hobby, I put less pressure on myself and enjoy the process more.

Having said this, mogi has shifted from being a content churning machine and became an aggregator page for eSport, Tech and Gaming content! The page is steadily growing and content and engagement is continuing to increase. Adding to this, I shifted to a new content platform and I'm honing my content making skills through it. Since you're reading this, you already know that mogi blogs!

Helping the Local eSports and Gaming Industry Grow

Aside from personal growth and goals, I wanted to help build a community and grow the local eSports and Gaming industry. Having noticed there were no active job groups here in the Philippines for the industry, I decide to start one. Though the content in the group may need some more work, the basic foundation has been set. While slowly gaining members and traction, the group aims to connect gamers, content creators and job hunters to possible careers and business opportunities in the eSports and gaming industry here in the Philippines.

New Hobby and New Content

Only recently did I feel comfortable dabbling into a new hobby. Collecting has been something I always wanted to get into and now I started collecting Pokemon trading cards! Collecting Pokemon cards jsut fit right in my interests, so I decided to give it a go. Along side the collecting, I decided to document my experience and create content around the hobby space. Hoping to grow more as a content creator, this time, in a more specific niche.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Emblem System Revamp Analysis

Image was taken from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Facebook Page Though the title of the article can be a mouthful, this new emblem system update has sparked a few conversations. With it being online for awhile now, let’s look at how it has been for players trying to reach Mythic Glory this season.  DO NOTE!  This article’s content will be based on my personal experience and research. It will also be good to do your own research to better understand this new emblem rework. Now let’s get started!! Old Emblem System vs Now VS The most obvious change with the new system, would be the merging of the Common Physical and Magical emblem into one Common Hybrid emblem, and the removal of the Jungler emblem which I will get into further details later. Another big change is the simplification and diversification of Talents. Players test their game knowledge by mixing and matching talents from different emblems. Moonton did a good job reworking the system, with both casual and hardcore pl...

Rakk Bulus Review and Comparison vs. Rakk Talan

Malapit na ang 10.10, kaya nandito ako para mambudol!! Rakk Gears, a Philippine based gaming peripherals company, refreshed their line up of affordable gaming mic. I picked up and have been using their mouse, the Rakk Bulus, to give you guys a review on their take on a budget gaming mouse. As an added bonus, I will be comparing this to their iconic Rakk Talan, which also happens to be my daily driver. DO NOTE! This is not a paid ad and this will be my unbiased opinion on the item. I bought this mouse with personal funds and I have made no partnership with the said company. With that being said, let's get into it! Overview The Rakk Bulus is an affordable gaming mouse which retails around 1395 to 1495 pesos (depending on the color of choice), which I bought on sale for around 1100 pesos. It comes with the following: The Rakk Bulus USB-C paracord cable 1.8m 2 Mouse Shells/Covers Extra mouse switches Switch puller With the add-ons given, you cannot argue about the price. This is a pret...

Mobile Legends Hero Guide: Roaming Arlott

Roaming Arlott is a build I have been working on and been playing in certain matchups and team compositions. Given the nerfs the hero received in several patches now, I personally think that he cannot match the tempo of meta XP laners. I know is sounds like trolling or griefing, but hear me out!! Why does Roaming Arlott Work? Arlott is one of the heroes who can easily transition from early game assassin to late game tank. Having played Arlott is all types of matches, 1 thing I noticed is the damage fall off. No matter how big the early game lead is, Arlott's damage falls off really hard late game, even if you build all damage. By playing him as a roamer, you can utilize his early game damage to play as an assassin sniping kills all over the map, which will give you enough gold to eventually build tanky and having impact during late game. Emblem and Battle Spell I run the Fighter emblem on roam Arlott, because it gives him spell vamp for that increased sustain plus the added damage ...
