New Hobby Alert! Collecting Pokemon TCG

I have always wanted to get into collecting, but I never knew what. I didn't have any self control to keep things pristine. I tried collecting all sorts of things when I was younger, but I couldn’t find myself committing to any of them. It was either, I get bored of the hobby or I feel bad that I my collection was only gathering dust somewhere. But now that I am older and I am making my own money, I wanted to give collecting another shot. I wanted to collect something I loved, something that can last and something that can gain value over time.

Luckily, Pokemon trading cards ticked all the boxes!

I grew up with the Pokemon (toys, games, shows). I love trading cards and the art/illustration of the cards. With how much first edition cards are going for, it is guaranteed to gain value over time. Though my thoughts on Pokemon cards as an investment may differ from others, one can argue that it does gain value over time.

Before getting into the hobby, I made sure I did my research. I made sure I wasn’t going to end up overspending and I made sure I was ready to commit to collecting Pokemon trading cards. By being properly informed, I am less likely to do impulse buys and  make irrational decisions. I made sure that I had the pre-work and tools ready to be fully equipped for when I dive into the hobby. It sounds a bit too much for something to do for fun, but you can never be too prepared. I wouldn’t want to burn myself out by overspending irresponsibly, ruin the items I’m collecting and get bored of the hobby all together.

After doing the pre-hobby work, I decided on what to collect. With how big the Pokemon Trading Card Game space is, you would end up spreading yourself too thin if you try to collect everything. So with that in mind, I decided to narrow down my collection to singles, and booster pack related products.

What does that mean?

Basically, I want to keep it simple. I want to collect singles with art I like and sell or trade ones with value. As for the sealed aspect of my collection, thats for gaining value over time hehe. I want to keep it vanilla, keeping my sealed collections mostly consisting of booster packs, bundles and boxes. I like keeping it old school, but I wouldn’t mind sprinkling in a few promotional items.

My mindset in collecting Pokemon card is that it is a hobby. It is a luxury worth enjoying. Most people choose to think of collecting Pokemon TCG as an investment, but for me it is a "nice to have". Though, I would be very happy if my cards do go 10x. I am happy that I get to try collecting again, and this time I have more self-control and knowledge in this space.

With that being said, tune in to my upcoming Pokemon content over at my Tiktok:

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Emblem System Revamp Analysis

Image was taken from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Facebook Page Though the title of the article can be a mouthful, this new emblem system update has sparked a few conversations. With it being online for awhile now, let’s look at how it has been for players trying to reach Mythic Glory this season.  DO NOTE!  This article’s content will be based on my personal experience and research. It will also be good to do your own research to better understand this new emblem rework. Now let’s get started!! Old Emblem System vs Now VS The most obvious change with the new system, would be the merging of the Common Physical and Magical emblem into one Common Hybrid emblem, and the removal of the Jungler emblem which I will get into further details later. Another big change is the simplification and diversification of Talents. Players test their game knowledge by mixing and matching talents from different emblems. Moonton did a good job reworking the system, with both casual and hardcore pl...

Rakk Bulus Review and Comparison vs. Rakk Talan

Malapit na ang 10.10, kaya nandito ako para mambudol!! Rakk Gears, a Philippine based gaming peripherals company, refreshed their line up of affordable gaming mic. I picked up and have been using their mouse, the Rakk Bulus, to give you guys a review on their take on a budget gaming mouse. As an added bonus, I will be comparing this to their iconic Rakk Talan, which also happens to be my daily driver. DO NOTE! This is not a paid ad and this will be my unbiased opinion on the item. I bought this mouse with personal funds and I have made no partnership with the said company. With that being said, let's get into it! Overview The Rakk Bulus is an affordable gaming mouse which retails around 1395 to 1495 pesos (depending on the color of choice), which I bought on sale for around 1100 pesos. It comes with the following: The Rakk Bulus USB-C paracord cable 1.8m 2 Mouse Shells/Covers Extra mouse switches Switch puller With the add-ons given, you cannot argue about the price. This is a pret...

Mobile Legends Hero Guide: Roaming Arlott

Roaming Arlott is a build I have been working on and been playing in certain matchups and team compositions. Given the nerfs the hero received in several patches now, I personally think that he cannot match the tempo of meta XP laners. I know is sounds like trolling or griefing, but hear me out!! Why does Roaming Arlott Work? Arlott is one of the heroes who can easily transition from early game assassin to late game tank. Having played Arlott is all types of matches, 1 thing I noticed is the damage fall off. No matter how big the early game lead is, Arlott's damage falls off really hard late game, even if you build all damage. By playing him as a roamer, you can utilize his early game damage to play as an assassin sniping kills all over the map, which will give you enough gold to eventually build tanky and having impact during late game. Emblem and Battle Spell I run the Fighter emblem on roam Arlott, because it gives him spell vamp for that increased sustain plus the added damage ...
