It’s the most wonderful time of the year! This Christmas season, give your family a gift that keeps on giving. A gift that is guaranteed to be enjoyed by the whole family and… it wont burn a hole through your wallet. Get yourself and your family a family subscription to Youtube Premium!

One of the most slept on online subscriptions, Youtube Premium. The argument is always, “just use an ad blocker to bypass the Youtube advertisements.” But Youtube Premium is more than that! It is a low cost subscription service that is well worth the convenience it gives to the whole family. 

So, sit back and let me explain to you why Youtube Premium is a great gift for you and your family!

Here in the Philippines, a Youtube Premium Family Plan costs PHP 239.00 per month for 5 people. So if you do the math, PHP 47.8 per head, which I think is a great deal for what Youtube Premium offers!

If you're looking for a price comparison, Youtube Premium is the cheapest video streaming subscription available, compared to Netflix and Disney+ here in the Philippines. Yes, you can argue that technically Youtube is free and you don't necessarily need to pay to avail of their platform. But Youtube Premium is value for money even if it means spending the monthly subscription. A better comparison to Youtube Premium is Spotify Premium, because they are both free services that are similarly price (Spotify Premium Family Plan is PHP 239 for 6 people). For the price you pay, the convenience and added features greatly enhances the daily user experience. 

PHP 239 a month will not break the bank. For families who consume Youtube content constantly, the premium subscription is worth the pesos. The affordability of convenience is what makes Youtube Premium an ideal Christmas gift for the family.

Pro Tip: If you’re an Apple user, be sure to pay directly to Youtube. You can get a better deal when paying direct, because you don’t have to pay the extra Apple fees.  

  • Uninterrupted Viewing Experience

When people hear about Youtube Premium, the basic idea is that the subscription offers you a viewing experience with no ads in sight. Yes, I would say that is the biggest appeal of the service, but there is more to Premium, other than no ads.

Youtube Premium offers an uninterrupted viewing experience by offering continuous and background play. These are some of the other benefits of Youtube Premium aside from the no ads. Basically, you can watch videos on your phone while your screen is off or on another app(pretty good for podcasts, lo-fi music or any ambient noise needs). Aside from consuming content without having the video on display, you can continue watching the video when you get on another device. Youtube Premium allows you to bookmark the video you were watching on the phone and continue where you left off when you get on the computer.

The Uninterrupted Viewing Experience that Youtube Premium offers is a great deal of convenience. You get to save on battery when you're on the road by just having the audio play on your device, and as soon as you get home, you can pick up where you stopped when you get settled in and watch on your PC.

  • Added features

With the uninterrupted viewing experience alone, Youtube Premium is already worth it as it is, but thankfully, there are more features to bolster the subscription. 3 notable features are 1080p premium video quality, offline download and access to Youtube Music. The video quality and offline video download is self-explanatory. These features are not as widely talked about, because of the limited use due to hardware and software limitations, but they are a welcomed addition nonetheless. Youtube Music access is something worth considering, especially if you are trying to save a few bucks.

Basically, Youtube Music is Youtube's response to Spotify Premium. It is an ad free music streaming platform available to Youtube Premium users. One can argue it can replace your current Spotify Premium plan, but that will depend on your family's music taste. The choice of which music streaming service is better is a subjective topic. It will always boil down to preference, but given that you get 2 Premium subscription services for the price of one is pretty good deal. 

These added features are great bonuses when considering getting Youtube Premium for the family. It could also be another way to save on cash if you plan to shift from Spotify Premium to Youtube Music. Again, this is a preference thing and it may be worth considering.

It is the gift that keeps on giving, because I guarantee that the family is always maximizing it. Sure it is a monthly upkeep, but what is a few pesos if it means the family is not hassled by ads and their Youtube watching is more convenient.

Mobile Legends Hero Guide: Roaming Arlott

Roaming Arlott is a build I have been working on and been playing in certain matchups and team compositions. Given the nerfs the hero received in several patches now, I personally think that he cannot match the tempo of meta XP laners. I know is sounds like trolling or griefing, but hear me out!!
